OK, so you’ve booked your stand rather close to the show, giving you less time to prepare.

Worry not! You’re in safe hands; we work with many exhibitors in the same position as you, and we’re here to give you all the support you need so you can focus on achieving your exhibition objectives.

  • Get the ball rolling.
Key actions to take before you do anything else:
    > Get your login details for the Exhibitor Zone; fill out your online profile with your logo and a short description of your business.
    > Follow all relevant social media channels; links to these will be on the show website.
    > Make a note of any upcoming deadlines and act upon them. We’ve put together a checklist for you, which can be found in the exhibitor manual.
    > Three items to prioritise are your health & safety, electrics and badge registration forms.
    > Send a copy of your company’s public liability insurance cover to our insurance provider at: ascential@inevexco.co.uk. Insurance cover will be automatically added to your account if proof of insurance is not received by us.
  • Get focused.
Decide on the main goals you want to achieve from your exhibition. For example:
    > Develop leads
    > Meet existing customers
    > Grow your database
    > Gain feedback
    > Make new sales

Then, once you know what you want to achieve, decide on the scale or quantities you’d like to reach.
  • Get your budget together.
First, work out your total event budget. Then identify how much you’re happy to spend on:
    > Stand design/graphics
    > Giveaways/freebies
    > Data scanners
    > AV/electrics/internet
    > Flooring/furniture
    > Insurance
    > Hotel/food/travel

If you’re unsure of typical costs, get in touch. We’re more than happy to give you an idea.
  • Get your stand developed.
Keep your graphics simple; just your name and logo will do fine. Drop us a line to put your stand in the safe hands of our trusted contractor, GES, and ourselves; with years of experience of designing stands, we’ll make sure yours gets noticed.

Get customers and visitors to your stand

Once you have your stand build organised, think about some last minute visitor engagement tactics that will make up for lost marketing time. Competitions, food samples, leaflets, promotional items and video content are all things that can be arranged quite quickly.

Get your team prepared

Make sure everyone works towards  your exhibition’s success – ask your
sales and marketing colleagues to put the show dates and stand details on their email signatures, invite their customers, prospects and contacts and try to schedule on-stand meetings.

After taking these steps, you should be feeling confident and on the road to exhibition success. See you at the show!
